YO!
You can call me Lizzie!
I am a Creative Director, Principal Artist, and Mentor.
MY STORY:
Born in New York, a minute in Spain, and raised in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. In 2015, I graduated from the School of Visual Arts with a focus on Computer Art and Visual Effects. Since then, I’ve built a career as a CG Lead, Principal Character Artist, and Principal Environment Artist, eventually returning to my alma mater as an Adjunct Professor at SVA in Manhattan.
During the pandemic, while the rest of the world was maximizing turnip profits in Animal Crossing, a few close friends and I moved to Portland, OR, to launch Super Dope, a boutique, fully-remote animation studio. I leveraged my production expertise and leadership background to build a culture that addressed my own frustrations with the commercial industry, lovingly fostering what we called an "Artist’s Studio."
In 2023, I stepped away from Super Dope for a self-funded sabbatical to re-evaluate my goals. That journey led me to Moku, a web3 gaming studio. I quickly rose to Creative Director, where my "many hats" approach was instrumental in launching our most ambitious project to date: Grand Arena. Now, following that success, I’m feasting my eyes on new horizons and am officially open to new opportunities!
MY PASSION:
As a Mixed-Race Woman of Color, a champion of the Artist’s Studio, and a leader, I am deeply committed to creating healthy, thriving workplaces. To me, that means more than just a title; it requires rigorous production schedules, radical communication, and understanding the vital difference between having diverse voices and creating a safe space for those voices to be heard.
I’ve been humbled to be called the "Sunshine Committee" and the team's biggest cheerleader. In a society defined by the non-stop grind, I believe that feeling supported and actually enjoying what you do is the secret sauce to building the world’s best teams.
