Head of Production & Creative Director

November 2024 - February 2026

At Moku, I stepped in during the studio's most ambitious growth phase to build the art department from the ground up — defining the visual voice, establishing the pipeline, and creating the team and operational foundation that made the Grand Arena Ecosystem possible.

What I built

I owned the entire art operation at Moku — from pipeline infrastructure and cross-functional alignment, to visual direction and the team culture that made sustained output fun and possible!

Infrastructure

Built the studio's first animation pipelines, standardized I/O and file-sharing systems, and owned project scheduling across simultaneous workstreams.

Team & Culture

Grew the art team from 2 to 5, led cross-functional standups with company-wide leadership, and established check-in cadences that drove retention and growth.

Direction

Defined the visual North Star for the Grand Arena expansion, creatively directed the art team through paint-overs and instructional work, and managed marketplace branding consistency.

Outcomes

The release of Moki Mayhem was a huge success, rounding out a major pillar of the Grand Arena. By synchronizing Moki Mayhem with the Grand Arena Trading Cards, we transformed our digital assets from standalone collectibles into a high-utility economy.

What it felt like to work with me at Moku

Momo Yang

Creative Director & Designer

“I had the pleasure of managing an art team with Lizzie in a demanding, exceptionally high pressure environment. We would not have been able to deliver on our goals without her presence!
Junior artists on our global team were new to remote work across timezones, and they worked on constantly pivoting projects. Not only did Lizzie bring structure and clarity, but she also prioritized the team’s wellbeing under such intense pressure.
Lizzie introduced systems for pipelines, file organization, and communication that kept the team grounded. I have carried those learnings to my new jobs with great success.
She is truly an amazing leader and a caring human, I’m very grateful for her lasting positive impact on my career.

Cathy Escarsega

UI/UX Designer

“Lizzie is the first creative director I have worked with in my design career and has shown to be a fun, caring, and intentional creative mind. She created a space within Moku for those who worked under her to grow and flourish, using her mentorship and expertise to promote a collaborative and productive environment. In feedback sessions, she shows incredible attention to detail and consistently connects her critiques to fundamental art and design principles which has helped me better understand her feedback and apply those lessons to my future work. She made such a welcoming and positive environment that always felt easy to speak up, share ideas, and be open about my thoughts.”
