Staff CG Lead

December 2017 - October 2019

Nathan Love, previously Aardman Nathan Love, is a boutique animation studio in New York City. After years of freelancing there, I stepped into the CG Lead role as head of the 3D department.

What I built

I led the team and external vendors across high-profile IP: SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Loud House, Thundermans, School of Rock, Crayola, Kellogg's, and King (Candy Crush) — while also serving as principal character and modeling artist across the same projects.

Systems & Processes

Created onboarding systems and documentation that streamlined team ramp-up, and established regular standups that improved resource coordination and cross-department visibility.

Pipeline Solutions

Streamlined complex CG Campaigns by defining hero materials for a preserved stop-motion aesthetic and engineered high-efficiency instancing workflows.

Team & Direction

Managed and onboarded the 3D department artists and external vendor relationships across high-profile IP

Founder & Executive Creator at Nathan Love

“Lizzie is the ultimate team leader, especially at the critical intersection of art and production. Not only can she deliver as an artist who understands time management in high-pressure environments, but she also brings the organization, communication, and calm leadership that complex productions demand.

In her role as creative manager, Lizzie leads with clarity and empathy, quickly earning the trust of her team. She is inclusive, empowering, always lifts others up, and always knows how to find the fun in any environment.

What sets Lizzie apart is her ability to balance creativity with execution. She solves problems early, stays steady under pressure, and is a great communicator, which makes both the work and the people around her better.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, Lizzie is a genuine ray of sunshine who brings joy and positive energy to the workplace—something every great team needs.”
